Vaastu for Bedrooms
After the day long work every living being earnestly require rest; for that only the nature has endowed us with day and night. For the bedroom, South - West is best for the master bedroom. Generally the eldest sleeps in the South - West room, the elderly in the South - Eastern room, the next in the North - West room and only the children should sleep in the North - Eastern room but not the couple. Now there are some points, which one should always remember:
- The bed should be located in the middle of the room or should be in the South - West corner of the room. The idea is to keep moving space around the bed and if Vaastu is taken care of, South - West becomes heavy as we put the heaviest bed their.
- Bed should not touch North or East walls, but may touch South or West walls when we keep our heads towards South or West for sleep.
- A shelf of books may be kept in South - West or West Side of the room. A reading table with chair may also be kept in this corner of the room.
- If there is some T.V or electrical equipment, they should be placed in the South - East corner of the room.
Now the biggest question is why not sleep legs facing towards SOUTH? This is the most common question . I have seen most people had a misconception in their mind that you should not sleep facing the legs towards South as South is not a good direction and it causes ill effects. But this is the biggest myth, no direction is bad, there is a scientific reason for not sleeping with legs towards South. The thing is ONE SHOULD NOT SLEEP FACING THE HEAD TOWARDS North. We all know that all of the body, the head is the heaviest and consists of all the iron and other elements. The North direction has an ill effect on the blood circulation and the organs of the body, which are away from the brain, will not get sufficient blood resulting in headache, irritation, insomnia.
Vaastu tips for Bedrooms
- The door you enter to your bedroom is considered a symbol of possibilities. Your life has to offer you and should open at least
ninety degrees to fully allow positive opportunities to you.
- Upon entering, your bedroom, the first thing you see is something that gives you the feeling of peace and serenity. This could be a photograph, a painting or sculpture, even flowers will enhance these positive, life supporting feelings.
- Removing clutter in your bedroom creates serenity and will help you feel more efficient and function optimally. Clutter especially under your bed,
weighs you down and keeps your mind subtly connected to the past, which does not allow for forward progress.
Clutter represents all that has not been completed in your life. Wherever it exists, your life force energy becomes stagnant. To tackle clutter, first take on small projects to help you avoid the feelings of being overwhelmed be the task at hand. Clear areas of accumulated papers,
magazines, and newspapers to help you create a sense of organization and space. Begin withdrawers and, as you feel inspired, focus on sections of your closet or storage areas. Remove everything from under your bed, as
storing clutter here will also affect your subconscious mind and cause disruption during sleep.
- Sleep with your head to the South. Positive magnetic energy comes from the North. The blood in your body contains iron,
making your body magnetic with the positive polarity in your head. When you sleep with your head to the North, these two
positive polarities repel each other, disrupting the flow of blood and affecting your sleep and health.
- Having a mirror on the wall opposite the foot of your bed can disturb your sleep. You throw off stress during the time you
sleep and a mirror will hold the stress and reflect it back to you when you wake up once you sit up in bed. Move the mirror or
cover it at night for more restful and replenishing sleep.
- Try not to sleep in direct alignment with sharp corners. Sharp corners act as energy spears and create stress in the nervous
system. There is not serenity in a room that has sharp corners except by softening them by placing plants in front of them. You can
also try moving your bed away from direct alignment with them.
