Vaastu for Property Buyers

The elements of Vaastu have come to play a  major role in the real estate.

Property dealers and developers in Bangalore, say people are concerned with Vaastu factor while buying a property. Looking for Vaastu conforming properties, positioning things within the house according to the directions specified by Vaastu, are trends that are fast catching up. It is no more surprising to see people advertising that their lands facing direction and shape of the land  according to Vaastu.

Before buying a property the following points about the surroundings of the property should be kept in mind.

1. The property which you are planning to buy should not face the hills or high rise structures and towers. Buying this kind of property will slow down the progress in your life. However, if the property is facing North direction and these structures are on South then that is good and auspicious and gives protection to the house.
2. Sources of water like rivers, canals, lakes or ponds with clean, active and unpolluted water on North or North-East direction of the property creates beneficial energy. It is always better to buy the house with these surroundings but a property with same water sources on South, SouthEast or SouthWest directions should be completely avoided.
3. One should avoid buying a property facing ‘T’ shaped roads as it affects the energy balance of the building and the health of the inmates negatively.
4. Avoid buying a North facing property with flyover in the front as it makes the inhabitants suffer financially and mentally in the long run.
5. Avoid purchasing a property where sharp edges of neighboring building are shooting at the house that you plan to buy.
6. One should avoid buying Selection of site for a building is very important. Ancient works on Vaastu emphasize upon the quality of soil as one of the fundamental factors while selecting land for construction.

Vaastu advocates construction on a land with high soil density so that it can bear the full weight of structure. Site should be highest at South-West corner and lowest at North-East corner. South-East should be lower than South-West and higher than North-West. This ensures that the life caring rays of the rising sun reach the plot in abundance.

Vaastu tips

1. Rocky, non cultivable land is inauspicious.
2. Plots/buildings sold by rich people for reasons other then misfortune & poverty is good.  Sale by distressed, unfortunate people should be avoided.
3. Rectangular plot with long North to South is better then long East to West.
4. Wider front gate & narrow end is not good. Narrow front with wide back is good.
5. A small sized plot between two bigger plots is inauspicious.
6. Reject any site with well towards South or South.
7. Avoid  purchasing  of irregular shape lands or plot.
8. Never buy a plot which is cut on the North East corner.
9. If North East corner of the plot is extended it is very good.
10. The plots should not be  near any religious place,  police station,   hospitals, courts, industries and burial or cremation grounds.
11. The South or West of the plot must be higher than North and East.  If it is not, you should be able to make it so by filling and putting more soil on the same.  If it is not possible you should not buy the plot.
12. If you are making an underground tank for water storage in your house, locate it in the North Eastern corner of your house.  Municipal water supply should also start from North East direction of the house.
13. Southern side road is not considered to be very good.
14. Northern side road is good.
15. A road on the Western side is reasonable.
16. Roads surrounding plots :-
17. A square plot surrounded by roads on all four sides is excellent. Very  auspicious  
18. If a road ends in your house from the North Eastern corner it is considered very  auspicious.
19. Roads on South is not good (can be good in some cases).
20. Road on North or East is good.  Road in East and North is good.
21. Road on West is ok, Roads in North and West is ok. 
22. Land surrounded by roads on 3 sides.
23. Roads on  East, West & North – not good, also roads on North, West & South is not good.
24. A road ending in the house is very bad. Never buy a plot in which road comes like a dagger provided it is not coming from North East direction.
25. There should not be anything blocking your main gate (like electric and telephone pole or a tree or some other pillar), it is very bad.
26. A stream of filthy water in front of your house, factory or office is a clear loss of wealth.  Even stationary dirty water is bad.
27. Do not use any material from an old building in a new building. 
28. Circular, oval, triangular plots are not good.
29. Gate of the plot on the North, North East or the East is very good.
30. A small building between two giant buildings as the small house will always sense threatened by the taller buildings. This kind of property hampers the progress of the inhabitants and castes misfortunes.
